Careers

If you are interested in joining our team please feel free to send a resume and portfolio to arid@aridwoodworking.com. We are always looking for passionate people to partner with and even if we aren't hiring right now we’ll keep it around and reach out when we are.

The culture of our shop is more important to us than anything else – we want to work with people who are kind and creative, who are energized when they come up to a problem or make a mistake and who work hard to find solutions. We have no time for machismo or bravado. We want team members who are supportive and playful, who love to laugh.

The work we do is variable, highly technical, and precise. The most important skillsets are a high attention to detail, flexibility working with diverse project types and construction methodologies, and a love of problem solving. Sometimes it’s monotonous – sanding for a week on end. Sometimes it’s a fast paced installation where it’s one problem after another that needs to be worked through in quick succession.

If it sounds like something you’d be interested in, please let us know! We believe firmly in hiring the candidate and not the position, and, depending on our needs, we are always willing to train the right person.
